Meet MV Pretty – First Cape Bulker With Teekay Funnel

Join us in welcoming the crew of MV Pretty, the first bulker with the Teekay logo in its funnel. On August 13, 2015 at 1000 LT, MV Pretty came under the management of Teekay Australia at the Arab Shipbuilding and Repair Yard in Bahrain (ASRY).

Teekay Australia is currently transitioning the CarVal fleet into its management with six vessels already handed over, and six more planned by the end of 2015.  These vessels are owned by the CarVal investment funds, where Teekay is a partner and investor.

Vessel operations, Marine HR, Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality (HSEQ), Procurement, IT, as well as other departments have done a commendable job in making MV Pretty’s, as well as the other capesize handovers, a successful one. The crew safely boarded the vessel upon completing of dry docking at ASRY and set sail to Fuijarah, United Arab Emirates, under the command of Capt. Rakesh Monga and Ceng Joshi.
