Peter Evensen, Teekay’s President and CEO, is often credited publicly as the “architect” of Teekay’s modern business structure. In a recent issue of IHS Fairplay, Peter was interviewed on his background and the realities of survival in the cyclical shipping market industry.
In the interview, Peter gives insight into his 30 year career and the experiences that have informed his unique perspective on the marine energy industry. “People fall in love with the assets and forget that this is a service business,” says Evensen. “What customers are paying for is service, and service is actually provided by the crew.”
