First Amundsen Class Vessel to Head to Dry-dock
Stig Morten Helland, head of shuttle management operations, visited the Fayard shipyard in Denmark earlier this month where the Amundsen Spirit was in dry-dock. Winner of the Clean Shipping Award at the NOR-Shipping exhibition in Oslo in 2009, the Amundsen Spirit is one of the four shuttle tankers in the Amundsen Class delivered in 2010. Amundsen Spirit is also the first of her class to head to dry-dock. The work progressed as planned and the vessel is now headed for sea trials. Take a look at her shiny new hull! To learn more about the dry-docking process, check out our step-by-step guide.
