#6 Teekay’s First MEGI LNG Vessel
This year we started construction of Creole Spirit, Teekay’s first LNG vessel powered with M-type, Electronically Controlled, Gas Injection (MEGI) twin engines. Since then, the vessel was launched and has undergone sea and gas trials. Creole Spirit is the first of nine MEGI LNG vessels which are designed to be significantly more fuel-efficient and have lower emission levels than other engines currently being used in LNG shipping.
