What Does the Inside of a Huge Tanker Vessel Look Like?
January 28, 2016
“Just like Torben knew, I now understand that Teekay is nothing without the dedication of its seafarers.”
Rangrid is (was) one of our oldest vessels – a shuttle tanker that has a long and distinguished service upon the harsh high seas of the North Sea. Last year, Jesper Karlshoej joined Rangrid as she transited on her final journey from Bergen in Norway to Singapore. During his three weeks aboard, Jesper investigated the vessel and shared what he learned on our Gina Krog microsite.
Why is it called the Gina Krog microsite? Because right now, (ex-)Rangrid is being converted to the Gina Krog FSO. The inside and outside will look very different to how Jesper found it very soon, so enjoy this historical record. We will be sharing more on the Gina Krog transformation over the coming months.
