LNG exports increased strongly in the first half of 2017, and are on-track this year to provide the largest increase since 2010. In addition, major LNG producers are now preparing for the next wave of LNG supply after 2020. Eni recently green-lighted their FLNG project in Mozambique, and several projects in Qatar, Russia, USA, East Africa, and the Asia Pacific region are competing to supply the LNG market in the period after 2020.
