Teekay’s liquefied natural gas daughter entity, Teekay LNG Partners, is already the third-largest independent owner of liquefied natural gas (LNG) carriers – and it’s still looking to grow. David Glendinning, President of Teekay Gas Services, was recently interviewed by TradeWinds on the current state of Teekay’s LNG business: “We’re excited about it,” Glendinning said. “I think we are relatively well positioned. We are opportunistic, we are very well capitalised and our investors like growth, so we will be looking at any way we can consolidate the market.” But he is clear that the company will not “grow for growing’s sake”. “The deals have to make sense,” he said.Click here to read the full interview (TradeWinds subscription required): http://bit.ly/Tt7nJh.
