Teesta Spirit Time-lapse Captures Panama Canal Voyage

Travel With Us From the Pacific to Atlantic Ocean in Under Three Minutes
The Master of the Teesta Spirit, Capt. Vijay Suresh Rana, recently captured striking footage of the vessel transiting through the Panama Canal. It is estimated that 13,000 to 14,000 ships pass through the Panama Canal each year. A vessel like Teesta Spirit can spend up to 8 hours passing through the Canal. While there, she will pass through a system of locks that will lift her 85 feet above sea level and into the world’s largest artificial lake, Lake Gatun.
Shown in the video below, Teesta Spirit starts off at the Balboa Anchorage, transiting through three sets of locks until reaching its final destination, the Atlantic Ocean.
Thank you to Capt. Rana and the Teesta Spirit crew for assisting in showing us this spectacular journey.
