Team Aspen Spirit went above and beyond to rescue two individuals at sea.
En route to Trieste, Italy for discharge, close to the Straits of Gibraltar, Aspen Spirit was called upon to assist and rescue two individuals stranded on their pleasure craft that had lost propulsion.
The Master immediately diverted the vessel and proceeded towards the craft’s position. Upon arrival, the crew assessed the situation before proceeding with the rescue operation to safely embark the two sailors on board. The crew assisted the two sailors in contacting their families and arranging for the necessary documentation for their safe disembarkation at the Port of Gibraltar where our vessel was scheduled to take bunkers.
With the right arrangements, the two sailors safely disembarked at Port Gibraltar where they were reunited with their loved ones as Aspen Spirit resumed her voyage on course.
