The event also offered interactive sessions and continued to present its annual International Safety@Sea Awards, which recognize the outstanding efforts of organizations that have played a significant part in ensuring safety at sea.
Teekay is very honored to be recognized in two categories:
- Outstanding Contribution to Search and Rescue in 2021

Captain Siddharth Deoli, Teekay Master, and Rohit Kapoor, Vice President, Ship Management, went on stage to receive the awards in both categories as presented by MPA’s Chief Executive, Ms. Quah Ley Hoon.
At Teekay, safety is a value. We put safety first. No compromises. We look after each other and make sure everyone gets home safely. We consider people first, the planet and then profit in all our decisions and actions. We are proud to be acknowledged by MPA as contributors to a safer, more secure working environment, not only for our seafarers but also for everyone in the wider shipping community.
