Chief Officer Gurkaran Gil recounts his memorable experience sailing with his family onboard Donegal Spirit
In Teekay, we value the importance of family. When the situation allows, we are happy to have family members board the vessel to visit or sail with their loved ones onboard. This is the case for Chief Officer Gurkaran Gil whose wife and son boarded Donegal Spirit when she called a port near their home.
His son enjoyed the warm Teekay hospitality that he presented a thoughtful handmade card to the entire ship team. In Gurkaran’s words, “Words could not describe the feeling of seeing my wife in a Teekay boiler suit and my son in an immersion suit. Home and work aligned for the first time in perfect harmony. A shout out to the entire Teekay ship and shore team for fulfilling a little boy’s dream! Truly grateful.”
Through the entire experience, unforgettable memories were created for one happy family.
